These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BreachWarden ("Service") operated by BreachWarden ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
BreachWarden monitors email addresses you provide against known data breach databases and delivers alerts when your email address appears in a breach. The Service checks email addresses against multiple global breach intelligence databases.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You may only monitor email addresses you own or have explicit permission to monitor.
- You must not use the Service to monitor other people's email addresses without their consent.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
BreachWarden is a paid subscription service. By subscribing, you agree to the following:
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
- You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
- Prices are shown in GBP (£) inclusive of applicable taxes.
- Add-on email monitoring is billed at the additional per-email rate shown at the time of purchase.
5. Gift Subscriptions
- Gift subscriptions are purchased and paid for by the sender at the time of purchase.
- The sender is not entitled to a refund once a gift link has been redeemed.
- Gift links expire 1 year from the date of issue.
- Unredeemed gift links are non-refundable after 30 days from purchase.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time via the billing portal (accessible from your account settings or the /billing command in the Telegram bot). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your monitored emails will remain active until that date.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API.
- Share account credentials with third parties.
- Use automated tools to create multiple accounts or circumvent rate limits.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any breach of data that BreachWarden did not detect.
- We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
- Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 3 months preceding the claim.
9. Service Availability
We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend or terminate the Service with reasonable notice. In the event of a planned permanent shutdown, we will notify users by email at least 30 days in advance.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
